Over the years I have been selected as a Wedding Wire Couples' Choice Award winner and have been rated as one of Winnipeg's top three officiants. I am personable, detail-oriented, professional, and have many years of experience as a public speaker and educator. I have excellent working relationships with many of Manitoba’s wedding vendors and am often recommended by venues.
Whether you want to be married in front of all of your friends and family, in an intimate ceremony with your nearest and dearest, or with just the two of you and two witnesses, I would be delighted to be a part of your special day!
I have been a marriage commissioner for more than ten years and really love what I do! In that time I have married hundreds of couples and have been honoured to tell their love stories. Becoming a Marriage Commissioner is one of the most fulfilling things I have done in my adult life.
I absolutely love meeting and working with couples, planning for and officiating at their wedding ceremonies. I enjoy hearing their stories and helping them choose readings and vows that help them to share their very public commitment to one another in a meaningful way. Each of the weddings I have had the pleasure to officiate have been occasions of such joy and hope, happy tears and laughter.

Since I joined my mother, Sheryl, in her work as a marriage commissioner in 2017, I have officiated hundreds of weddings and provided countless couples with marriage licences.
My goal as a marriage commissioner is to do what I can to remove stress from the process of getting married. Whether you have been anticipating your wedding for many years, you are getting legally married just to make it official on paper, or something in between, it's normal to feel some pressure as you plan to take this step. Your expectations, and those of your friends and family (and society!) all build up to this one event in your life, so how could you possibly get it right for everyone?
My experiences officiating weddings have lead me to believe that every wedding is entirely unique, and that the best moments are often the ones that--for lack of better words--just happen! I am committed to providing support leading up to your special day, and then facilitating a ceremony where you feel relaxed and present in the moment to focus on the most important thing: each other.
No matter what the circumstances are, I feel grateful every time I end my work day knowing this: when two people decide to take this step forward together, I can be there to help.
